Troubled Waters

The thing I remember most about Coronado Island wasn't the hotel or the beach, it was the suicide prevention signs on the bridge. Yikes!

No Longer "Dangerous"

Decades ago my late husband and I lived in San Diego, and I always wanted to spend a romantic weekend at the Hotel del Coronado. He — always alert for possible disasters — refused, declaring that the dear old Del was a firetrap. I'm sure the old girl has adequate sprinklers now.
