Still there!

This building appears to still be standing (with some changes) and is now the Gullah Grub restaurant:

Helena History

One might not guess it from this photo, but St. Helena Island was one of the poorest places in the country, as a result of a hurricane 46 years before. It's also a center of Gullah culture.

Nice celebration

I believe this building is still there. It’s in a little community called Frogmore just down the road from Beaufort.
