Strange clouds?

Can you explain the strange pattern in the clouds? Mold on the negative, or something else growing there?

How many wires?!?

Consider the state of the art 1901 communications looms! Is there a separate wire for every telephone? Pretty amazing, someone kept track of them. Before the hurricane!

Blown away

In a Shorpy twist, this 1849 gothic building was brought down by a tornado, in 1953. It was replaced by this modern/deco building in 1957. For another cool building, pan to the left.
