Taffy-pulling contest at St. Peter's

... and not the other way around.

For some reason I remember this from an album of radio bloopers that my parents had around the house in the early '70s.

Sticky Fingers

Yuck! Don't think I'd want to eat any of that taffy after having several hands pulling on it. Hope the party hostess insisted they all wash their hands before participating.

That stuff is dangerous

I was a teenager the last time I ate saltwater taffy. I remember it welded my mouth shut and I was afraid it might yank out a filling. Look at how hard everyone is pulling on it. You don't want to turn around and put something like that in your mouth.
