In case anybody is wondering,

and I'm certain they are not, the tug is the L. Birckhead, built by Abe Gilmore at his yard in the Ironville neighborhood of Toledo in 1883, and named for the president and treasurer of the Vulcan Iron Works. The tug was owned by the Deweys of Toledo and powered, not coincidentally I'm sure, by a non-condensing single cylinder steam engine, built by the Vulcan Iron Works. It was sold to the Greiling Dredge Company of Green Bay in August 1908 and dismantled in 1926.
