Changing Light Bulbs

Must have been pretty scary. One slip and it's in the drink you go!

[Arc lamps don't have bulbs. The fixtures lower when the carbons need replacing. - Dave]

Thanks Dave. Always learn something new here.

Rare view

Altogether a beautiful pic of a rarely visited area of Manhattan.

A to B?

That's Pier A on the right (remarkably, both it and the Jersey Central terminal across the river, the two main buildings in this photo, are still extant)

But it's considerably to the south of all the Hudson River Ferry terminals; which raises the question of the Annex's destination (or origination, if it's westbound). Could it have been a terminal in Brooklyn?

That does, indeed, seem to have been a regular route (I suspect the name "Annex" signifies that)
